Meet Our Center Director – Lynaya Byrd

I’m honored to serve as the Center Director at Future Beginnings, where I bring nearly 35 years of experience in early childhood education. My passion for nurturing young minds has been the driving force throughout my career—from owning my own childcare business between 2004 and 2013 to offering care to family members during that time.

 

I joined Future Beginnings almost nine years ago, initially as a Lead Toddler Teacher. A year later, I transitioned into leading our preschool program and was soon invited to join the management team. As Education Coordinator and Program Director, I focused on staff development, maintaining records and standards, and ensuring the highest quality of care. My role centered around observing and supporting children’s educational growth in the classroom.

Now, as Center Director, I take great pride in developing and supporting the dedicated and talented team we have here. We work together with heart and purpose to create a space where children feel safe, inspired, and empowered to grow—academically, socially, and emotionally. Every day, our goal is to meet each child’s needs with warmth, respect, and excellence.

 

Outside of work, I’m a proud mom to a daughter and a son, and a very lucky grandma to my eight-year-old grandson. I treasure time with loved ones—especially at our beach property in Copalis, WA, where we make memories and enjoy the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
